The Commonwealth Games is a multi-sport event that takes place every four years, bringing together athletes from countries that are part of the Commonwealth Nations.

The 2022 Games were held in Birmingham and strived for new benchmarks in creativity, inclusivity, and sustainability with aims of creating a healthier, happier, better connected, and more prosperous West Midlands.

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Athlete Villages were expertly designed to provide the competitors with a comfortable and secure living environment to allow them to best prepare for their events. During the 2022 games, athletes and team officials were housed in three villages at The University of Birmingham, The University of Warwick, and The NEC Hotel Campus.

With the three sites hosting 6300 athletes, Pulse Fitness were tasked with supplying their market-leading equipment in all of the gyms to provide a premium and accessible space to prepare for the competition.

Supplying stations from its superior Strength, Cardio, Functional and Free Weight Lines, Pulse Fitness was able to create dedicated areas in each gym that allowed athletes to prepare for the competition with optimised workouts. With integrated console technology on select pieces of kit, athletes were able to level up their training and push their limits to new heights. No matter the event the athletes were training for, they had access to Premium kit that would enable build strength, enhance endurance, and fine-tune their techniques, ensuring they were fully prepared to dominate the competition.

“Pulse Fitness were an exemplary service provider throughout every aspect of the project, from planning and delivery to ongoing support. They provided expert guidance during the project planning phase to accommodate every requirement for all athletes, from all sports. They contributed greatly to the success of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games athlete villages,” said Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
