Vivacity Premier Fitness underwent a transformative gym refurbishment aiming to revitalise its offering and enhance the member experience across its facilities. With a significant £500,000 investment and only a two and a half week timeline, Pulse Fitness delivered a sleek environment equipped with state-of-the-art fitness solutions. The partnership reflected Vivacity’s ambition to provide high-quality training spaces aligned with the latest in digital fitness technology and member-focused design.

THE SITUATION
Vivacity’s existing facility required a visual a functional refresh to improve the atmosphere, upgrade equipment and optimise the layout for a broad range of training. With goals to boost member engagement and retention, Vivacity sought to create a space that offered a more immersive and versatile workout experience, and called on Pulse Fitness to help bring this vision to life.

THE SOLUTION
The comprehensive transformation was delivered in just two and a half weeks. The upgraded gym features an expanded free weights area with a wider range of benches, integrated lighting racks, advanced cable machines and plate-loaded equipment. Studio spaces were enhanced with new branding, updated flooring and modern feature lighting to create a more engaging and motivating workout environment.

Pulse Fitness also introduced a completely reimagined cardiovascular area, reducing the number of machines to streamline the space while upgrading the equipment itself to include fully digital consoles. Compatible with EGYM software, the new kit enables a seamless integration and personalised, data-driven fitness journey. A brand-new EGYM Smart Strength Zone featuring eight connected stations, a central hub and Tanita body composition scales was installed. This was complimented by the addition of four EGYM Smart Flex stations along with a dedicated stretching area to support mobility and recovery.

Recognising the importance of functional training, a new rig was installed to provide smart storage and free up floor space, allowing for more effective use for group exercise and personal training sessions. The entire functional zone was turfed to create a distinct and practical space for movement-based training. A new separate personal training and introductory free weights zone was also introduced to support onboarding and coaching sessions in a focused, accessible environment.

THE RESULT
Since the refurbishment, Vivacity has welcomed more than 1,200 members within 15 months and achieved an average membership yield of £55. The revitalised facility has become a vibrant hub that meets the needs of a wide range of users, from beginners to experienced gymgoers.
