Creating great fitness spaces is never just about the equipment – it’s about the people, the community and the impact it creates.

Over the past year, we’ve worked closely with Jim Faulkner, Leisure Director at, LWM Traded Services Ltd, Lichfield District Council and the incredible on-site teams at Burntwood Leisure Centre and Lichfield Leisure Centre to deliver two standout projects for the local community.

At Burntwood Leisure Centre, the goal was clear: modernise the gym, make it inclusive for everyone, and create a space that didn’t feel like a traditional leisure centre gym. Designed with wheelchair users, functional and Hyrox-style training in mind, and powered by state-of-the-art digital TRAKK technology, members can now track progress, train with purpose and feel confident in the space. With the refurbishment reflecting what existing members wanted, the response has been incredible – members love it and membership is already up!

Lichfield Leisure Centre – a brand-new, flagship facility that opened its doors on 2 January, offers more space, more flexibility and a shared multi-use membership across both sites. So far the response has been amazing, with membership already exceeding targets and the site receiving positive feedback from day one.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing staff teams at both centres. Their commitment, energy and willingness to go above and beyond has been instrumental in bringing these projects together.

This is what happens when partnerships put community, inclusivity and member experience first!
