After being awarded the tender to redesign and redevelop Congleton Leisure Centre, the Pulse Design & Build Team had the task of modernising an outdated facility to create a bustling community hub.

The Congleton LC was first developed over 50 years ago, and with that came all the stipulations and cautions that come with an old establishment.
With difficulties surrounding asbestos contaminated grounds and non-regulation main gas pipes, the redevelopment saw many challenges that would have to be overcome in order to deliver a safe and accessible centre.

After months of intense work, the project was completed with fantastic results. The brand-new leisure centre was fitted with a new full-size swimming pool and accompanying learner pool, a thermal suite, changing village including accessible solutions, café and soft play area for young members of the local community to enjoy. We’re incredibly proud with the results at Congleton LC, and we hope the community enjoys the newly renovated space once it reopens.
